AI plan review for
civil engineers

Upload your plan sets and standards. Redplan runs the compliance review, locates every finding on the sheet, and cites the standard it violates — so submittals go out clean the first time.

How it works

From plan set to cited findings in three steps

  1. 1
    Upload your standards
Add municipal codes, agency checklists, and your firm's own criteria to the knowledge base. Redplan reads and indexes every requirement.
  2. 2
    Upload your plan sets
Drop in grading plans, utility sheets, hydrology reports — full sets, any size. Every sheet is parsed and ready to query in minutes.
  3. 3
    Chat and run reviews
Ask questions or run a full compliance review. Every answer and every finding is cited — and located on the exact spot of the sheet.
Chat with citations

Every answer points at the sheet

Ask Redplan anything about your documents. Answers cite their sources, and clicking a citation highlights the exact detail, note, or dimension on the plan — no hunting through 40 sheets to verify.

  • Citations link to the exact spot on the sheet
  • Cross-references plans against your standards
  • Answers draw on the whole project, not one file

Automated compliance reviews

Findings, located and graded

Run a full review against any standard set. Redplan checks every sheet, grades findings by severity, and pins each one to its location on the plan — with the violated requirement quoted alongside.

  • Critical / major / minor severity grading
  • Each finding pinned to the sheet, with the standard cited
  • Track resolution across revisions

For engineering firms
QA/QC before you submit

Catch the comments before the agency does. Run your plan set against the reviewing agency's standards in-house, resolve findings, and cut a resubmittal cycle out of every project.

For plan reviewers
Check against your standards, faster

Load your municipal standards once, then review every incoming submittal against them. Consistent findings, every citation traceable, and every finding ready to work when you're done.

Frequently asked questions

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Your plan sets, standards, and reviews stay in your workspace and are never used for model training.

Which standards does Redplan support?

Any written standard you can upload — municipal codes, county checklists, state design manuals, or your firm's internal criteria. Redplan reviews against exactly what you provide.

Does it replace the engineer of record?

No. Redplan surfaces findings with citations so a licensed engineer can verify each one quickly. Every finding links back to its source — nothing is a black box.

What file types can I upload?

PDF plan sets of any size, plus PDF, Word, Excel and text documents for standards. Sheets are parsed individually so findings can be located precisely.
